CC Industries

Christopher Krestel, project architect, provided architectural, interior design and construction administration services for CC Industries, located in Chicago, Illinois.

CC Industries needed to make some changes to their existing office space due to some recent department adjacency and growth requirements. At the same time they realized they were long overdue for an updated look, since they had occupied their space for over 20 years with just minor changes along the way.  

The project encompassed approximately 45,000 square feet of interior renovation. The goal was to minimize demolition and construction, but still provide a functional and updated facility.  Minor layout changes were designed, keeping most of the existing walls, doors, ceilings and MEP/FP systems intact. Existing furniture was refurbished and supplemented with some minor new additions. New flooring and wall treatment was upgraded throughout.  Existing general lighting was retrofitted to be more energy efficient.  All lending the project well to LEED Certification.

Since it was required that the floor be occupied and operational throughout construction, a five phase construction schedule was developed, implemented and managed seamlessly with minimal disruption to the staff.
